PALLET CONTAINERS CONVEYORS
Conveyors systems for palletized containers are used where there is a need
to create accumulation of palletized containers.
The application of the figure to the side and the video above satisfies the need to create
an accumulation for the storage containers of bottles produced by Sidel blow molders
in the Serioplast / L'Oreal Settimo Torinese plant.
Each line is able to automatically manage an accumulation of 4 containers.
The accumulation is necessary for a temporary storage of the production even when the
evacuation by the automatically guided forklifts is slowed down.
CHAIN CONVEYORS
This type of conveyor is used whenever the pallet must move in a direction in which the supporting
surface does not guarantee minimum dimensions for rolling on rollers.
An example is the Europallet pallets that when they move with the larger size facing the road
offer a support dimension (dimension of the three longitudinal tables) of about 120mm.
This dimension does not allow the safe rolling of the pallet on the roller.
In these conditions the chain conveyor is used which offers a continuous support on three lines.
The chain runs on steel guides inside hulls made of folded sheet metal.
The use of the three chains guarantees transport safety, avoiding the danger of overturning
and allowing the transport of damaged pallets.
Essential features are:
Transport on 1 "(or 3/4") roller chains
Chain support hulls made of 30 / 10mm sheet metal
Transmission by means of Bonfiglioli worm gearmotors.

PALLET ROLLER CONVEYORS
Th pallets rollers conveyor are of 3 types.:
Roller conveyors for empty pallets
Roller conveyors for pallets with load
Gravity roller coneveyor
ROLLERS CONVEYORS FOR LOADED PALLETS
Rollers diameter 76 pitch 150.
Transmission with 3/4 "tangential chain.
Standard versions with Bonfiglioli coaxial gearmotors.
Possibility of realizing bi-directional conveyors.
ROLLERS CONVEYORS FOR EMPTY PALLETS
Type of product similar to the conveyor for pallets with load.
Given the small load, the structure is lighter than the model for full pallets;
the pitch of the rollers is wide and the rollers are lighter.
Essential features are:
Rollers diameter 76 pitch 250.
Transmission with 5/8" tangential chain.
Standard versions with Bonfiglioli coaxial gearmotors.
Possibility of realizing bi-directional conveyors.
GRAVITY ROLLER CONVEYORS
This type of product is used with not extremely high weight pallets (max. 250 kg)
to allow movement by a single operator.
With the same roller conveyors, giving the appropriate slope to the conveyor,
gravity conveyors are made.
The roll support structure is made of 30/10 sheet metal.
Roller length and pitch diameter varies according to the applications.
PALLET DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT MEASUREMENTS
Solaut produces two devices that allow measurements of the dimensions of the products on the pallets
according to three axes and their weight, on both roller and chain conveyors.
The two devices can be combined in a single group with a single electrical panel or supplied individually.
The pallet size meter can be used to measure the dimensions in height, width and depth of the pallet.
For height measurement we can supply special photoelectric barriers that measure the pallet size
during its movement on the conveyor.
When there is a need to detect the three dimensions of the pallet
we can supply the device of the figure besite.
The machine consists of two columns on which a quadrilateral with the measurement sensors flows.
The pallet is stopped at the measuring point;
the quadrilateral is lowered until the measurement photocells are aligned with the pallet.
The quadrilateral starts to lift up to scan the product profile on the pallet.
In addition to detecting the maximum dimensions, it is also possible to obtain the overall
dimensions of the frontal and lateral planes.
The essential features are:
Power supply 230 VAc.
Translations made with linear guides and recirculating ball carriage
Transmission by means of Bonfiglioli worm gearmotors.
PLC c300 Lenze.
Overall height 3300mm.
The measuring system in the figure on the right is used to measure the weight of pallets
that move on roller conveyors or chain conveyors.
The measurement is carried out with the pallet stopped.
A series of profiles is inserted between the conveyor rollers.
The profiles are raised, lifting the pallet.
Weight measurement is performed with a load cell.
