Solaut produces gripper for palletizing and depalletizing of boxes and cluster packs . Special gripping systems are also produced for industrial manipulation in general.

Solaut produces 7 types of robot grippers, which can be supplied together with our palletisers or separately. On all the models we can realize the displacement of the jaws with servomotor and recirculating ball screw.

GRIPPERS WITH A FIXED JAW

Grippers with a fixed jaw and a mobile one which can be supplied in the following versions:

  • jaw plate width 400mm stroke jaw 150mm.
  • jaw plate width 800mm stroke jaw 200mm.

Installable accessories:

  • pallet hooks.
  • suction pads to hold the slip sheet.
  • suction pads and suction pads.
  • actuator for 0-90° rotation.

This type of gripper is suitable for gripping boxes, cluster pack and trays. The packages must have sufficient lateral stiffness to allow lifting. The gripping force can be adjusted with a dedicated pressure regulator (in the case of pneumatic grippers). These grippers are the most economical solution for handling products.

PARALLEL SELF-CENTERING GRIPPER

In the figure on the side there is a 1200mm self-centering parallel gripper used for palletizing with a Comau Smart5 Pal 260 robot. This robot gripper is able to palletize a whole row of boxes / cluster pack on a europallet pallet. The robot gripper is equipped with pick-up hooks for pallets and suction pads on the pallet divider.

Parallel self-centering grippers available in the following versions:

  • Grippers with two self-centering jaws width 400mm.
  • Grippers with two self-centering jaws width 800mm.
  • Grippers with two self-centering jaws width 1200mm.

Installable accessories:

  • pallet hooks.
  • suction pads to hold the slip sheet.
  • suction pads and suction pads.
  • actuator for 0-90° rotation.

The self-centering grippers are gripping elements for handling boxes, cluster packs and laterally rigid containers. Their use reduces the picking and release times; they are suitable for high speed palletizers. To speed up the release of the box on the pallet as much as possible, we can supply grippers with pneumatic release of the free jaw plate: by placing the package next to the others on the layer, the opening of the grippers is prevented by the side boxes. The release of the package must take place with a lateral movement during the lifting of the gripper; the pneumatic release immediately frees up the package, allowing straight-line ascent at full speed.

MULTIPLE GRIPPING ROBOT GRIPPER VARIABLE PITCH

The figure to the side shows a multiple-grip gripper consisting of 4 grippers with a fixed jaw. The distance between the 4 gripping elements can be varied so as to be able to grip a continuous row of boxes or cluster packs and position them spaced on the pallet. The closure of the individual gripping elements can be pneumatic or electric. The distance between the gripping elements is electrically varied.

The gripping elements of the multiple-grip grippers can be either fixed jaw grippers or self-centering parallel grippers that also vacuum gripping plates.

VACUUM GRIPPER

In the figure to the side a vacuum gripper is shown. Solaut builds gripping elements for robots with suction cups fed with venturi vacuum generators. The vacuum gripping units can have a quick release cup holder plate to adapt the grip to the format change.

MECHANICAL AND VACUUM COMBINED ROBOT GRIPPER

This type of robot gripper is used in the depalletization of boxes. In the figure on the side there is a gripper which uses the suction cups applied to the movable jaw plate to move the box onto the layer and create a gap in which the fixed jaw plate of the gripper will be inserted.

The gripper in the figure has a second group of 4 suction cups for hooking up the slip sheet between the palletizing layers. The gripper in the figure is suitable for depalletizing boxes and cluster pack.

GRIPPERS FOR TRAY FORMER AND CASE PACKERS

Solaut produces grippers for use in case packers and tray packers. In the figure on the side there is a gripper for lid and boxes, used in one of our tray packers.
It consists of a plate with suction cups to hold the lid and two flaps that fold the lid so that it can be inserted into the tray.
Two side plates block the boxes which are inserted into the tray together with the lid.

For case packers we build grippers with sector plates jaw in order to be able to quickly vary the width of the grippers when the product varies.

GRIPPERS FOR MANIPULATION

The figure on the rigth shows self-centering gripper for gripping cardboard drums with diameters ranging from 300 to 600mm. The grip is made on the centerline of the cylindrical skirt to allow processing of the ends.
